Each year BSI sends out donations of over $50 worth of adhesives to more than 100 modeling events. Recently, Contest Director John Griffin and the Reno Lake RC Club in Illinois put on the 22nd Annual Military Fly-In. The event attracted 60 pilots and over 130 aircraft. He sent this photo to us:

annual Electrics Over Tidewater Fun Fly hosted by the
Newport News Park Radio
Control Club in Newport News, VA. The
weather was perfect for two days and a night of great
flying. In addition to casual flying
there were many
rounds of foamy combat and the FPV racing course
garnered much excitement as
racing quads went zipping around the pylons. We had 40 registered pilots and approximately 50
spectators enjoying the
event. Blaine Coblentz won best of show
with a stunning de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver; Owen
Perkinson earned the award for
most flights on a single airplane; and Bruce Thompson
earned the award for best
night flight. Bruce’s night flying was absolutely
amazing and brought the
spectators to their feet many times with cheers of
appreciation. Bruce was so impressed with
the spectator’s
enthusiastic cheers, he returned with a curtain call
flight to end the night of
flying. I’m sure we will have another
great event next year. Thanks again Team
BSI!!

The 2015 Cherry Valley R/C Park Bash ran 144 cars in 26
heats,
their biggest event ever. BSI's Tire Glues were given out as prizes. |

BSI also supports plastic modeling, woodworking, and aquarium events. Clubs just need to notify BSI with details of their activities and they will receive a donation that usually arrives the week before the event.
